Using the Internet for Free or Inexpensive Marketing

The Internet can be a woderful tool for free or inexpensive marketing of your product, service, company, individual or event. While advertising is an option, websites continue to grow in popularity for several reasons.

Tutorial

With the ever-increasing number of people who are connected to the Internet on a daily basis, it was bound to become a source of advertisement. The sheer number of people who see particular web pages over the course of a day can be more than the number of people who patronize many stores over the course of a week or more. For those who know how to use the Internet as a tool, it can be a great source of free or inexpensive marketing.

You might immediately think of those annoying pop-ups when you think of Internet advertising. Those kinds of advertising can be quite expensive, depending on where your pop-up or advertising will appear. You also run the risk of missing out on a many people who have pop-ups blocked and simply skip over the advertised sites without even taking time to look. But websites – created and maintained for particular products, services, companies or events – are a free (or inexpensive) marketing tool that is growing in popularity.

What can you do with a website that you can’t do with a store? Plenty. You can appeal to a global market. No longer are your customers determined by geography and you’ll be able to reach people from around the world while marketing your service or product. You’ll also be able to reach those people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are no store hours online and your marketing efforts will be seen anytime a person logs on to your site, even while you’re sleeping.

Creating and maintaining a website can be a tremendous asset in your efforts to market your business, service or product.
