The default font in Microsoft Word is Times New Roman. You can change the default to a different font if you wish following these simple steps.

1. Open Microsoft Word.

2. Click on the Format menu and select Font.

3. Change to the font you want to have as your default by selecting it in the dialog box. Click the Default button in the bottom left.

You have now changed the default font in Microsoft Word.
