What is MyTutorials.com?

MyTutorials.com is the first collaborative learning site. MyTutorials.com allows the Internet community to ask for assistance, teach others about a topic, and find answers to their questions. Each of the tutorials on the site is editable by anyone and everyone. The best suggestions and improvements are combined into the final tutorial - making MyTutorials the destination for online learning.

Learning with MyTutorials.com is easy - click Tutorials on the main menu and select the category you want to learn in. You can also use the search functionality to find what you want to learn. If you do not see a tutorial on the website, request one by click on New Tutorial Request. You can also submit your own tutorials using the Create New Tutorial link.

What Kind of Questions Can I Ask?

MyTutorials.com is a tutorials website, so any question where you need to know how to do something. For example, How do I invest in stock? or How can I change my oil? are typical questions asked. If you have a troubleshooting problem or an issue, this is not necessarily the right site for you - unless your problem can be formed into a request for a tutorial to be written. Our staff does frequently check the requests to make sure they are relevant.

What Can I Do to Help?

Create a tutorial! You can create a brand new tutorial by adding one, or you can edit any tutorial on the site.

How Do I Edit a Tutorial?

View a tutorial and if there is existing content there but you want to improve it, click Edit This Tutorial or click the Edit button at the top. You will be transported to the edit page where you can improve upon the original or add content. Once you save the tutorial, it will be whisked away into the ether to be reviewed by a moderator. Once a moderator reviews your changes, it will either be approved or rejected.

What Do I Do if No One Responds to my Question?

With the large volume of requests, there are questions which do not have a tutorial on MyTutorials.com. This often occurs when a topic is very broad or complex and the expertise does not exist to author a tutorial. MyTutorials.com staff try to answer most requests (if the MyTutorials.com community doesn't answer it first) with a tutorial, but some very broad requests (e.g. I want to learn Microsoft Excel) cannot be answered in this format.

I Have a Problem with a Tutorial, What Should I Do?

On each tutorial there is a Report a Problem with This Tutorial link. Click on that if you need to report a problem with a tutorial. If you are the copyright owner of the content and someone posted it, please click this link and fill out the form, MyTutorials.com staff will review the tutorial and contact you if necessary.
